Warriors Fire Season-Low 320, Lead Week of Strong Performances Across Local Golf

The past week on the links delivered everything you could ask for, low scores, tough conditions, breakout performances, and even a hole-in-one. But rising above it all was a statement performance from Western Michigan Christian, proving they’re hitting their stride at just the right time in the season.

Western Michigan Christian turned in the top highlight of the week at the Lowell Invitational at Stonewater Golf Club in Grand Rapids, finishing 5th out of 18 teams while posting a season-low 18-hole score of 320.

Competing in a deep and competitive field, the Warriors showcased impressive balance throughout their lineup. Zach Weare led the charge with a 78, earning a tie for 8th place overall. Close behind, Ian Vanderstelt delivered a strong 79, while Lucas Weare added an 80 to keep the momentum going.

Rounding out the scoring, Braeden Olsen carded an 83, Alex Annema posted an 84, and Reid Staal finished with an 88.

The performance not only marked the team’s lowest 18-hole total of the season, but also demonstrated the depth and consistency needed to compete at a high level as the postseason approaches.
