Each week, we put the spotlight on three extraordinary athletes who not only rack up impressive stats but also inspire their teammates and elevate their game.

At the end of this article, you’ll find a poll where you can cast your vote for the athlete you believe deserves the title of Player of the Week. Jonathan Pittman, Senior, Mona Shores Boys Basketball

Pittman has been the definition of consistency this season, and he kept that trend going last Friday. He recorded another double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds, playing a key role in helping Shores secure their first OK Conference Green win of the season.

Ava Pelton, Senior, Montague Girls Wrestling

Ava has cemented her place as a trailblazer in Michigan wrestling, being one of the area’s first female wrestlers. Last Saturday, she achieved an incredible milestone that many wrestlers dream of—earning her 100th career win.

Caleb Ackley, Junior, Hart Boys Basketball

Ackley has been a standout for his team all season, showcasing his all-around skills in a strong performance against Oakridge. He recorded 17 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks in the game. Leading his young Hart squad, the junior has guided them to a solid 6-5 record so far this season.

Conner Raeth began his journey at CatchMark as an intern in October 2020, while studying Internet, Network, and Security Technologies at the Muskegon Career Tech Center. His dedication and expertise led him to a full-time role as a Help Desk Technician in mid-2022, post-graduation. Today, he excels as the Digital Content Lead for CatchMark’s SportsNet platform, leveraging his technical knowledge to drive its success.
