Jacob Scharp leads Manistee to WMC Lakes jamboree win at White Lake Golf Club

WHITEHALL — It was business as usual for Manistee’s boys golf team during Monday’s West Michigan Conference Lakes Division jamboree at White Lake Golf Club.

The Chippewas cruised to a 10-shot victory in the jamboree to solidify their hold on the WMC Lakes title chase. One divisional jamboree remains, scheduled for May 25 at Waters Edge in Fremont.

Manistee shot 152 as a team Monday at White Lake Golf Club, followed by jamboree host Whitehall (162) and Fremont (168).

Manistee junior Jacob Scharp led all golfers with an even-par 35 in the nine-hole round.

Monday’s jamboree was labeled the CatchMark SportsNet WMC Game of the Week. You can watch a replay of the livestream here:

Conner Raeth joined CatchMark as an intern in October of 2020. He graduated from the Muskegon Career Tech Center. Where he studied Internet, Network and Security Technologies. He came on full time in mid-2022, after his graduation, as a Help Desk Technician. Conner is an avid problem solver and desires to grow upon the skills he already has.
