MHSAA boys golf regionals teed off Tuesday and continue for the next couple days across the state.

CatchMark SportsNet made a pit stop to Stonegate Golf Club in Twin Lake Tuesday for photos of the Division 4 regional hosted by Muskegon Catholic Central. See those images above, featuring primarily Hesperia and Holton golfers, who are in CatchMark’s West Michigan Conference coverage area.

Elsewhere, Manistee finished second in its regional Tuesday to punch a ticket to the Division 3 state finals.

In MHSAA golf regionals, the top three teams and top three individuals not part of qualifying squads advanced to the state finals.

Here is a roundup of regionals Tuesday involving West Michigan Conference golfers:

DIVISION 3 AT RED HAWK

Manistee finished second in the regional at Red Hawk Golf Course in East Tawas, with a team score of 331. That qualifies the WMC Lakes Division champion Chippewas for the Division 3 state finals June 9-10 at Michigan State University’s Forest Akers West.

Traverse City St. Francis won the regional title at 327. Tawas shot 333 to round out the top three, which qualify for the state finals.

Max Scharp and Jacob Scharp of Manistee were among three golfers who tied for fourth by shooting 80s. Manistee’s Braydon Sorenson tied for ninth at 83.

Tawas’ Alex Kaems and St. Francis’ David Ansley both shot 76 for the top score. Kaems won a playoff to earn medalist honors.

Mason County Central finished 11th as a team at 396, while Hart was 18th at 461. Shelby was in that regional as well, but the Tigers did not field a complete team Tuesday, therefore no total score was listed.

DIVISION 4 AT STONEGATE

Grandville Calvin Christian captured the regional title at Stonegate Golf Club with a team score of 334. McBain Northern Michigan Christian was second at 344, followed by Wyoming Tri unity Christian in third at 368.

Calvin Christian’s Will Orme was medalist with an 82.
