HART — Whether it was Shelby’s defense, a slower start by Parker Hovey or a little of both, it took Hart’s senior guard a while to get going Friday night.

Once he did, there was no stopping him.

The 6-foot-5, 215-pound Hovey scored 18 of his 27 points in the second half, capped by a driving dunk late in the contest, in leading Hart to a 63-46 victory over rival Shelby in the CatchMark SportsNet West Michigan Conference Game of the Week.
