Recapping 2021 Muskegon-area football in final West Michigan 1st & Ten show of season

Collectively, Muskegon-area high school football teams took an unusually early exit from the playoffs. For the first time since 2011, the area has no representation in the state semifinals.

It’s not easy making the long playoff run to Ford Field. Seasons like this exhibit how much we should appreciate the traditional success this area enjoys in football.

It was still a memorable season in 2021. In CatchMark SportsNet’s final West Michigan 1st & Ten show of 2021, guest Mike Taylor joined hosts Jon Russell and Can VanSingel of West Michigan Sports Network and CatchMark’s Scott DeCamp as they recapped the season that was.
