After week three, our intern has expanded their lead! While everyone had a successful week, a few crucial wins are needed to catch up.

Here are our top five must-watch football games for the week:

Number 5: RP vs. GR Union

RP is looking to even their season at 2-2, but they face a tough opponent in GR Union, a squad known for its impressive talent.

Number 4: Hart vs. Kent City

Hart is riding high after beating rival Shelby and will look to maintain their momentum against a well-rounded Kent City team.

Number 3: Grand Haven vs. Caledonia

Grand Haven comes off a significant victory over West Ottawa and is ready to challenge Caledonia with their newfound momentum.

Number 2: Mona Shores vs. Byron Center

Mona Shores is on fire, winning all three of their regular-season games thus far, including a decisive win over Hamady last week.

Number 1: Whitehall vs. Montague

The big one is here—the Battle for the Bell! Montague is coming off some solid wins, including victories over Oakridge and Orchard View. Whitehall has faced tough competition, including Zeeland West and Unity Christian. This rivalry game promises to be a must-see!

Top Area Highlights

Here are the top 10 highlights from the week:

Number 7: Whitehall Girls Golf

Grace McDowell claimed the individual title with an average score of 86.5 at the WMC Girls Golf Play, leading Whitehall to a team victory.

Number 6: Holton Football

The Red Devils faced the unfortunate decision to terminate their team late last week due to low numbers and safety concerns. They were set to play MCC, who has now found a new opponent in Centreville.

Number 5: Montague Soccer

The Cats secured wins over Fremont and Manistee, propelling them to first place. They face the Norsemen of NM in their final conference game.

Number 4: Whitehall Boys Cross Country

Senior runner Stewart Waters excelled at the WMC Invitational, winning with a time of 17:18.28 and helping his team to a strong second-place finish.

Number 3: Ludington Girls Cross Country

Sophomore Lowman won the WMC Invitational with a time of 20:21.27, showcasing her consistent performance throughout the season.

Number 2: Hart Football

In a thrilling week three rivalry match, Hart claimed “The Jug” with a decisive win over Shelby. They will be looking to continue their success against Kent City next week.

Number 1: Reeths-Puffer Football

In a standout performance against Spring Lake, sophomore Bryce Muskovin rushed for 198 yards on 16 carries, averaging 12.37 yards per carry and scoring two touchdowns. He also contributed defensively, leading the Rockets to a 26-14 win.
