Updated West Michigan Conference 2023-24 boys basketball standings (Feb. 27)

Whitehall and North Muskegon both go 22-0 in the regular season. Districts are underway.

Districts are upon us as West Michigan Conference boys basketball teams enter the “second season.”

It was a busy opening night of games Monday. Before that, let’s salute the two unbeaten teams from the conference: Whitehall from the WMC Lakes and North Muskegon in the WMC Rivers, both sporting 22-0 records.

Two WMC Lakes Division teams won first-round games in Division 2 action, as Fremont beat Kent City (65-43) and Manistee defeated Big Rapids (45-32). One WMC Rivers squad beat another in Division 2 play, as Hart topped Mason County Central (46-34). In Division 3 action, Shelby beat Holton (55-31) and Ravenna defeated Hesperia (63-53).

WMC Lakes teams Montague and Orchard View saw their seasons come to an end in Division 2 action. Montague fell to Spring Lake (57-32) and Orchard View lost a heartbreaker to Fruitport (63-58 in overtime).
