WHITEHALL — Fremont’s boys soccer team completed a turnaround season that was not quite worst-to-first but pretty darn close.
The Packers take a gaudy 18-1-1 overall record into district tournament play this Wednesday after wrapping up an outright West Michigan Conference title with an 8-1-1 mark. Last season, they finished 4-15-1 overall for 10th place in the WMC standings out of 11 teams.
Monday night, Fremont captains Chaz Miller, John Vissia, and Tee Ward made the trip to Whitehall to be guests on Season 5 Episode 6 of the CatchMark SportsNet Podcast. They joined podcast host Scott DeCamp for a lively discussion on many topics.
On Wednesday, Fremont takes on a surging Montague team in a Division 3 district semifinal at 5 p.m. at Whitehall. In the 7 p.m. semifinal, Whitehall faces Manistee. The district final is set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Whitehall.
