Hart’s football program is getting accustomed to life in the limelight. The Pirates seemed to enjoy their media circuit on Monday.
Hart High School held a media-day event in the afternoon in advance of the Pirates’ first-ever home playoff football game this Friday. Monday night (Oct. 23, 2023), head football coach Joe Tanis and seniors Chris TerHaar and Joaquin Flores made the trip to Whitehall as guests on Season 5 Episode 7 of the CatchMark SportsNet Podcast.
The Hart trio joined podcast host Scott DeCamp for an hour-long discussion on the Pirates’ historic football season and topics related to it.
Hart (8-1), which has won the most games in program history since 1968, hosts Kent City (7-2) in a Division 6 first-round playoff game at 7 p.m. Friday.
This is Tanis’ third year at the Pirates’ helm. Hart went 4-5 his first season and 6-3 last year.
