WHITEHALL 50, SPRING LAKE 44: Camden Thompson filled the stat sheet with 16 points, 23 rebounds, six blocks, three assists, and one steal in powering Whitehall past Spring Lake in another hard-fought contest between the teams. Oakland University coach Greg Kampe, whose program has offered Thompson a scholarship, was at Spring Lake for the game.
GRANT 57, HART 54: Visiting Grant prevailed in a nonleague game that was tight from start to finish. Hart looks to snap its three-game losing streak Friday when the Pirates visit arch-rival Shelby.
“Credit to Grant for fighting to get a hard-earned victory,” Hart coach Nick Bronsema said. “And it was another lesson in the early season for the Hart Pirates.”
