WMC boys basketball: Whitehall coach secures first win; Oakridge, MCC bounce back from losses

All three WMC team’s improve record in Tuesday night nonleague action

WHITEHALL 63, FREMONT 48: First year coach, Christian Subdon picked up his first career win and the team’s first season win Tuesday night at Fremont High School. The Vikings jumped out to a 39-22 lead at the half to carry them to victory. Nate Bolley scored all of his 21 points before the break, contributing heavily to Whitehall’s halftime advantage.

Whitehall leaders:

Nate Bolley 21 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals

Brodie Fogus 12 points, 15 rebounds

Red Watson 11 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assist, 3 steals

OAKRIDGE 66, GRANT 45: After losing their league opener last Friday, Oakridge was determined to bounce back. The Eagles were able to complete their goal and bury the Tigers in the second half with an unforgivable 22 point deficit to secure the win.

Oakridge leaders:

Ethan Jozsa 29 points, 12 rebounds

Garrett Wever 13 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists

Grant leader:

Seth Schuitema 29 points

MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 57, WHITE CLOUD 33: The Spartans jumped out to a 24-9 lead at halftime and continued to dominate throughout the remainder of the game. This was the first victory of the season for MCC.

Jayden Perrone 13 points, 7 rebounds, 7 steals

White Cloud leaders:
