Area Basketball Recap February 4th to February 7th

Area teams turned in a busy stretch highlighted by several convincing wins, a few defensive battles, and one dramatic one-possession finish. On the girls’ side, multiple teams controlled games with strong defense and balanced scoring, while on the boys’ side, there were standout offensive performances, a couple of comfortable victories, and a hard-fought road win. Overall, it was a weekend that showcased depth, energy, and momentum heading into the next slate of conference games.

BOYS BASKETBALL

North Muskegon 70 vs Shelby 33

North Muskegon caught fire early with seven three-pointers in the first quarter. Shelby’s physical man defense kept things competitive, but NM’s ball movement (22 assists on 25 baskets) sealed the win.
