Montague V Shelby, 56 – 46
Montague staved off the Tigers in a hard-fought 56-46 victory on Monday night. Pulling away in the final quarter thanks to their efficiency at the free-throw line. Throughout the first three quarters were tightly contested through, with both teams trading baskets and making key defensive stops. However, Montague’s composure at the charity stripe proved to be the difference-maker, as they converted 19 of 25 free throws to build their 10-point lead.
Montague improve to 4-14 while Shelby falls to 2-15 overall.

Hart V Newaygo, 67 – 44
Hart dominated Newaygo in the Pirates Pit on Monday night, using depth and a well rounded scoring attack to secure a 67-44 victory. Caleb Ackley nd Avery Guikema set the tone with both hauling in double digit rebounds. Offensively, Bond and Miguel Escamilla each contributed eight first-half points, helping Hart build a 33-20 halftime lead. Ackley though, would take over in the third quarter, scoring 12 points. Guikema and Ackley both recorded double-doubles, with Guikema tallying 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Ackley led all scorers with 16 points and 10 boards in Hart’s win.
They improve to 10-7 on the season.

Rockford V Whitehall, 69-37
Whitehall entered the matchup with confidence, boasting a 4-3 record against Division 1 opponents, but Rockford proved to be a different challenge altogether. As one of the top programs in the state, Rockford controlled the game from start to finish, handing the Vikings a tough 69-37 loss in the rescheduled contest.

With the defeat, Whitehall falls to 14-3 on the season and will look to bounce back against conference rival Oakridge on Friday.

Whitehall V Big Rapids, 68-35
Whitehall was ready to go after a tough loss to Rockford the night before. With a chip on their shoulder they were not holding back on Big Rapids beating them by 33 in a blowout win.
Whitehall will stay home against Oakridge in a conference matchup on Friday. Oakridge has given the Vikings their toughest conference challenge this season so far. In their last matchup Whitehall was able to take the win but only by 12. This game could be one of the biggest of the season! Stay tuned for updates from the CSN team!
Grant V Montague, 80-35
Montague, who was fresh off a win against Shelby, the night before, was primed to try and start a streak. They would have to do so against a powerful Grant squad who was 14-2 ahead of this one. Grant was able to take this one home in blowout fashion. Beating Montague, 80-35.
Montague will travel on up to Ludington in conference action next week (Feb 11).

Mona Shores V Grand Haven, 64-55 (OT)
Mona Shores has been solid all season. In this game, they took on a renowned Grand Haven squad, who, themselves were 11-4 prior to this game. Both teams were primed for a shootout. With that said, that is just what we got. Heading to OT, Mona Shores was able to take this one. Which is their second game in 2 weeks that went into OT.
Mona Shores will take on RP in their next one on Friday. Grand Haven will take on Hudsonville on Friday as well.
