North Muskegon wins another thriller, seizes first regional title since 1986
North Muskegon’s football team is getting used to these down-to-the-wire games against perennial powers. For a second straight Saturday, the Norsemen collected a trophy and made history.

Ludington fends off feisty Kingsford for first regional title since 1997
Ludington’s volleyball team cruised through its regional and made quick work of Gladwin in last Tuesday’s regional semifinals.
The Orioles ran into a feisty Kingsford opponent in the Division 2 regional finals Thursday at Gaylord and they passed the test, winning in four sets. It’s Ludington’s first regional title since 1997.

Fremont fights way to regional finals, but runs into West Catholic buzzsaw
Fremont’s volleyball team won a third-straight five-set thriller in its state tournament run, but in the Division 2 regional finals Grand Rapids West Catholic proved to be too much for the Packers.

Shelby falls to Traverse City St. Francis in the regional semifinals
Shelby’s volleyball team captured a second straight WMC Rivers Division title and third consecutive Division 3 district championship, but the Tigers’ run ended in last Tuesday’s regional semifinals.
