The 2022 high school football season has been an adventure for West Michigan Conference teams.

For seven of them, the ride is about to get crazier. It’s playoff time, so buckle up!

Seven of the WMC’s 14 teams have earned spots in the Michigan High School Athletic Association playoffs, which kick off today (Friday, Oct. 28).

CatchMark SportsNet will provide coverage of all six games involving WMC teams. For three of those contests, we’ll be producing free live audio streams on our CatchMark SportsNet YouTube channel. (Subscribe to the YouTube channel if you haven’t yet.)

At Whitehall, Jon Russell and Cal VanSingel will have the call for the Division 4 first-round matchup between Whitehall (9-0) and Big Rapids (7-2).

At Reed City, Tate Stine and Conner Raeth will be bringing you the action for the Division 6 playoff opener between Montague (3-6) and Reed City (8-1).

At North Muskegon, Brent Raeth and Billy Mann will be calling the Division 7 first-round clash between league rivals North Muskegon (8-1) and Ravenna (6-3).

Here is the complete schedule of playoff games tonight involving teams from the West Michigan Conference. All of them kick off at 7 p.m.:


Big Rapids (7-2) at Whitehall (9-0)

Ludington (7-2) at Fruitport (7-2)


Shepherd (6-3) at Oakridge (8-1)


Montague (3-6) at Reed City (8-1)

Manistee (6-3) at Boyne City (9-0)


Ravenna (6-3) at North Muskegon (8-1)
