At the end of this article, you’ll find a poll where you can cast your vote for the athlete you believe deserves the title of Player of the Week. The poll will be open for one week, starting today and ending on the following Friday (November 15th, 2024). Spread the word, share this article, and rally your friends and family to vote for their favorite athlete! Let’s make some noise and show our local sports stars the appreciation they deserve!
Navea Gauthier, Senior, Shelby Volleyball
Last week, the senior was on fire! Not only did she break the MHSAA State kills record, placing herself among an elite group of athletes, but she also led her team to a district finals game. Now, Navea and her Tigers are set to take on Roscommon tomorrow!
Mia Clemence, Senior, Fremont Volleyball
Another standout in this week’s Player of the Week poll is Mia Clemence of Fremont Volleyball. After leading the Packers to a WMC conference championship earlier this season, she’s been on a tear, guiding them through the postseason—and even snagging a district title along the way—putting them in position for a shot at a possible Regional title!
Corde Anderson, Junior, Whitehall Football
Corde Anderson was a key force in Whitehall’s district championship win over Big Rapids, avenging last season’s painful loss. Anderson fueled Whitehall’s second-half surge, playing a key role in securing the 17-0 victory. The Vikings now turn their focus to a regional championship against South Christian.
