The boys’ and girls’ cross-country season have come to a close. Below are the results of the state meet.
Division 1 Boys
In a highly competitive Division 1 race, Grand Haven’s Luka Hammond stood out with a 5th place finish, clocking in at 15:19. His teammates also delivered strong performances, with Ben Eisnor finishing 13th (15:31) and Aron Gal taking 19th (15:39). Despite a challenging field, Grand Haven secured 8th place as a team. Other notable finishes included Carson Berko (139th, 16:35), Kason Todtz (192nd, 17:03), Liam Schamper (219th, 17:21), and Owen Cross (246th, 19:17).
Division 2 Boys
Fruitport’s Vincent Pollock led his team with a solid 25th place finish at 15:44. Fremont’s Blake Taylor (40th, 16:06.5) and Whitehall’s Stewart Waters (41st, 16:06.9) were right behind, contributing to a competitive showing. Fremont placed 9th overall as a team, bolstered by Carter Sherman (84th, 16:33), Cole Lowry (89th, 16:35), and others. Oakridge’s Payton Ruel finished 66th (16:26).
Division 3 Boys
In Division 3, Muskegon West Michigan Christian’s Matthias Morse finished in 13th place with a time of 15:53. Montague’s Noah Raeth (42nd, 16:31) and Nolan Kessler (70th, 16:50) also made their mark. Muskegon West Michigan Christian placed 16th as a team, while Hart’s runners, led by Silas Ackley (106th, 17:10) and Aiden Schaner (107th, 17:11), resulting in an overall team finish of 20th.
Division 1 Girls
The Grand Haven girls’ team saw Valerie Beeck finish 14th at 17:54, helping the team to a 13th-place finish. Addy Smith (99th, 19:23) and Cinnah Budnik-Ramos (130th, 19:40) also put forth commendable efforts. Reeths-Puffer’s Jersi Bilek finished 167th (19:53).
Division 2 Girls
Ludington’s Annabelle Lowman emerged as a top performer in the Division 2 girls’ race, finishing 8th with a time of 18:21. Spring Lake’s Alexis Kotkowicz (28th, 18:45) and Kaleigh Clark (48th, 19:11) put on a clinic as well. Fremont placed 9th as a team, with Linnea Paige (52nd, 19:15) leading the way. Ludington finished 12th overall, with multiple runners finishing strong.
Division 3 Girls
In the girls’ Division 3 race, Muskegon West Michigan Christian’s Grace Vanderkooi finished 5th with a time of 17:58, leading her team to a 7th place finish. Other standout performances came from Morgan Lawrence (33rd, 19:25) and Leah Sneller (47th, 19:50). Hart, finishing 8th as a team, with Natalie Rosema (46th, 19:45) leading the charge.
