It was a packed week across West Michigan softball, featuring dominant pitching performances, explosive offensive showings, and a handful of tightly contested conference matchups. Several teams continued strong early-season runs, while others showed resilience in close games. Highlighting it all was Fremont’s statement sweep, powered by elite pitching and a relentless lineup.
Fremont Powers Through Montague Behind Clark’s No-Hitter
Fremont delivered one of the most complete performances of the week, sweeping Montague in convincing fashion, 15-0 and 13-1.
In Game 1, Kamryn Clark was nearly perfect, tossing a no-hitter while striking out 10 and walking just one batter. She set the tone early, keeping Montague off balance all game long.
The offense backed her in a big way, with multiple players contributing at the plate and applying pressure from the first inning.
In Game 2, Fremont stayed hot. The lineup continued to produce runs early, while the pitching staff held Montague in check to secure the sweep.
It was a dominant all-around effort, pitching, hitting, and execution, making Fremont the clear standout of the week.
