MASON COUNTY — The Spartans of Mason County Central hosted their seasonal West Michigan Conference (WMC) Competitive Cheer meet last night, featuring three rounds of performances from 10 teams: Fremont, Hart, Ludington, Mason County Central, Montague, North Muskegon, Oakridge, Ravenna, and Whitehall.
From the start, Hart asserted their dominance, leading round one with a score of 219 points. The Pirates set the tone for the remainder of the meet. They weren’t here to be mediocre or take second or third. They were here to win, maybe not just win, to dominate. Following Hart’s impressive score was Mason County Central in second with 199.3.
Hart continued to shine in round two, earning 203.36 points and solidifying their lead. Mason County Central once again claimed second in the round with 181.22. However, by the end of round two, Hart held a commanding lead with a cumulative score of 412.36 points.
The final round saw the Pirates deliver yet another stellar performance, earning 281.9 points and securing the win with a remarkable final total of 694.26 points. Montague surged in round three with a phenomenal score of 276.5, propelling them to a strong second-place finish with a total score 634.26.
