Have a day, Kyan Clark: Hart baseball senior crushes Player of the Week fan poll

Kyan Clark had a couple of monster games at the plate for Hart’s baseball team last week.

He crushed it in the CatchMark SportsNet West Michigan Conference Player of the Week fan poll this week, too.

The Pirates senior is the runaway winner of this week’s fan poll, which recognized six student-athletes for their performances during sports events that took place April 10-15, 2023.

Clark finished with 13,674 of the 17,995 total votes in the fan poll. Killian Prewitt of Fremont’s boys golf team also had a strong showing in the poll, as he racked up 3,171 votes.

Clark had a couple of big games at the plate last week in lopsided wins for Hart.

In a 19-1 victory over Pentwater last Tuesday, Clark clubbed two home runs and a double to go along with seven RBIs. In a 15-0 win over Lake City last Thursday in the first game of a doubleheader, he went 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles and seven RBIs.
