North Muskegon keeper Emma Lamiman nets Player of the Week recognition

Junior kept Norse in the game during a tough OT loss to eventual state champ Kalamazoo Christian in the semifinals.

Prior to a tough 3-1 overtime loss to eventual Division 4 state champion Kalamazoo Christian in the semifinals, North Muskegon’s girls soccer team strung together 15 straight wins.

Norse junior keeper Emma Lamiman played a big role in that success, posting 10 shutouts during that run.

Lamiman often kept opponents off the scoreboard this season. In the final CatchMark SportsNet West Michigan Conference Player of the Year fan poll of the 2023 spring sports season, she kept teammate Natalie Pannucci off her heels.

Lamiman won with 1,772 of 2,941 total votes in the poll, which recognized four WMC spring sports athletes for their performances spanning June 12-17, 2023. Pannucci tallied 1,050 votes.
