West Michigan Conference boys basketball teams open the 2021-22 season this week, several of them having already taken the court in nonleague action.
On Friday, the conference slate begins with four intriguing matchups:
- Oakridge at Montague in the CatchMark SportsNet Game of the Week
- Ravenna at Whitehall
- North Muskegon at Shelby
- Mason County Central at Hart
Two weeks ago, CatchMark hosted the VanDyk Mortgage West Michigan Conference basketball media day at the Viking Athletic Center (VAC) in Whitehall. There, the league coaches were asked to submit info on their teams for season previews.
One of the questions we asked was the predicted order of finish in the conference. Each coach submitted his predictions in an anonymous fashion. Here are the results, tallied by CatchMark:
