Ravenna and Whitehall even atop boys standings; Hart remains front runner in girls standings with undefeated record

Basketball fans are in store for another competitive week in the West Michigan Conference.

The boys league race is led by Whitehall and Ravenna, which are currently tied atop the standings.

Three intriguing boys basketball matchups hit the spotlight this coming Thursday, beginning with a couple rivalry matchups.

Whitehall crosses the bridge to take on Montague as the Vikings fight to stay atop the league standings. This showdown will lead the pack as CatchMark’s Game of the Week.

Hart will visit Shelby for an epic rematch from a couple weeks ago, when Shelby squeaked out a win featuring Joseph Hayes’ 40-point performance. Another big one on the docket is Ravenna’s trip to North Muskegon, where the host Norse will attempt to fend off the Bulldogs to stay in contention for the league title.

On the girls’ side of things, Hart remains at the top of the standings with a 10-0 league record. Second-place Montague follows closely behind with an 8-1 league record.

Two must-see matchups include Ravenna’s trip to Oakridge on Tuesday and Montague’s battle at Shelby on Friday.
