Series launch: Watch Ep. 1 dubbed ‘Rocket’ in ‘Behind the Helmet: 2023 Reeths-Puffer Football’

MUSKEGON — Reeths-Puffer’s football team is only three days from kicking off its 2023 season.

What better time to launch Episode 1 dubbed “Rocket” than now in the “Behind the Helmet: 2023 Reeths-Puffer Football” series produced by CatchMark SportsNet?

Cody Kater brought a new attitude to R-P in his first season last fall. The Rockets went 6-3 in the regular season with competitive games against crosstown rivals Muskegon and Mona Shores and qualified for the Division 2 playoffs before falling to eventual state finalist Forest Hills Central.

In Year 2 of his tenure, Kater is looking to continue to build culture, chemistry, and competitiveness in this group of Rockets.

In Episode 1 of the “Behind the Helmet” series, you’ll learn more about Kater’s mission at Reeths-Puffer and we’ll introduce three key seniors who come from a variety of backgrounds in the melting-pot school district.

Episodes 2 and 3 in the three-part series will be released in the coming weeks.

Reeths-Puffer plays its first three games on the road: Grand Haven in Week 1, Farmington in Week 2, and Mona Shores in Week 3. The Rockets’ home opener is Week 4 against Holland, followed by a home clash against Muskegon in Week 5.
