Watch replay as West Michigan Ironmen clobber Central Illinois Royals in arena football

Ironmen defeat Royals, 68-21, to improve to 2-0 on the young season.

MUSKEGON — The game was billed by the West Michigan Ironmen as the “Royal Rumble.”

On the first play of the game, Ironmen linebacker Derek VandenBosch stripped a Central Illinois Royals ball carrier and rumbled for a touchdown. That set the tone for his team’s 68-21 runaway arena football rout of the Royals Saturday night at Mercy Health Arena.

The Royals, who hail from the Peoria area, fall to 3-2 on the season.
