West Michigan Conference basketball: Boys and girls roundup from Feb. 21, 2023

Ludington bounces neighboring rival Mason County Central in boys action.

Six boys basketball games and three girls contests involving West Michigan Conference teams were played Tuesday night.

BOYS BASKETBALL

OAKRIDGE 58, RAVENNA 53: Peyton Ruel scored nine straight points of his game-high 18 during a fourth-quarter run that pushed visiting Oakridge past Ravenna in the CatchMark SportsNet West Michigan Conference Game of the Week.

LUDINGTON 85, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 61: Host Ludington jumped on neighboring rival Mason County Central with a 27-12 first quarter en route to building a 49-24 halftime lead in this nonleague matchup.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

OAKRIDGE 44, RAVENNA 32: Anna Lundquist hit four 3-pointers en route to a game-high 23 points in leading visiting Oakridge to the victory over neighboring rival Ravenna.

LAKE CITY 52, HART 41: Visiting Hart trailed 20-18 at halftime and took its first lead early in the third quarter on an Aspen Boutell 3-pointer, but Lake City answered with an 8-0 scoring run and went on to the victory. Grand Valley State commit Kenzie Bisballe led all scorers with 33 points.
