NORTH MUSKEGON 51, WESTERN MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN 44: Visiting North Muskegon relied on its defense from the start and did enough to hold off Western Michigan Christian in the second half to earn the nonleague victory and remain unbeaten.

OAKRIDGE 66, HART 49: Visiting Oakridge jumped on Hart with a 28-9 first quarter and cruised to the WMC nondivisional win while remaining unbeaten on the season.

Oakridge had eight assists in the first quarter to go along with three steals,” Oakridge coach Tracy Ruel said. “Starting the second half, I feel Hart changed up defenses and we didn’t play with the same intensity that we started the game.

LUDINGTON 67, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 43: Senior guards David Shillinger and Spencer Holmes had big nights in leading Ludington to a runaway WMC nondivisional road win over neighboring rival Mason County Central.

“Overall I was happy with my guys’ effort. They took some punches and threw a few. Every game is a dogfight for us. Games like this only will make us better.”
