Jayna Burmeister – Shelby Softball
Burmeister delivered one of the most dominant performances of the week, leading Shelby in every phase of the game. She went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with 2 home runs and 7 RBI, powering the Tigers’ offense in a big win over Manistee. Just as impressive, she was nearly untouchable in the circle, allowing only one baserunner while striking out all 9 outs she recorded. Her complete control of the game on both sides makes her a standout Player of the Week nominee.

Chase Lorenz – Hart Boys Track
Lorenz put on a show at the Hart & Sole Music Invitational, dominating the sprint events and leading Hart to a team championship. He captured first place in the 100 (11.31), 200 (23.76), and 400 (49.71), including a personal-best effort in the 400, and capped off his day by running a leg on the winning 1600 relay team (3:33.26). With four total event wins, Lorenz was the driving force behind Hart’s victory and one of the top overall performers of the meet.

Hestyn Stowe – Ludington Girls Soccer
Stowe played a key role in powering Ludington’s offense during a strong stretch of games. She found the back of the net in a 2-1 win over Marshall at the Marshall Spring Sports Festival, then followed it up with a breakout performance, scoring 2 goals in a dominant 7-0 conference victory over Montague. Her ability to consistently generate scoring chances and finish plays helped fuel the Orioles’ attack and made her one of the week’s most impactful players.
