WRESTLING
Whitehall senior Shane Cook captured the 285-pound state title in Division 3 to lead a group of 17 all-state wrestlers from the West Michigan Conference. Cook caps his dream season with a 62-0 record.

COMPETITIVE CHEER
Hart finished fourth and Mason County Central eighth as the two teams represented the West Michigan Conference well in the MHSAA Division 4 competitive cheer state finals last Thursday at CMU’s McGuirk Arena.

BOWLING
Three teams and a handful of individuals from the West Michigan Conference competed in the state finals at two different locations Friday and Saturday.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Boys basketball districts tip off tonight with games continuing in Wednesday’s semifinals and Friday’s championship games. CLICK HERE to see the schedules and brackets for West Michigan Conference teams.
Last Thursday, Hart’s boys basketball team wrapped up a 22-0 regular-season, the first perfect run for the program in the modern era. CLICK HERE for complete coverage.
Also last Thursday, Whitehall’s boys basketball squad locked up a share of the WMC Lakes Division title. Making the game even more special was the fact it was senior night and senior Tyler Manzo — a fan and teammate favorite — scored the first bucket of the game. CLICK HERE for more coverage.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Whitehall exacted revenge against rival Montague by winning a Division 2 girls district basketball title on the Wildcats’ court Friday. CLICK HERE for coverage of the game.
