Ludington volleyball player’s votes spike en route to Player of Week honors (Aug. 22-27, 2022)

Jordyn Anderson has been putting up solid numbers across the board for her Ludington volleyball team this season.

Her numbers really spiked in the CatchMark SportsNet Player of the Week fan poll. Anderson amassed 1,949 of 4,960 total votes to edge Oakridge soccer standout Arturo Romero, who finished with 1,819 votes.

The poll was based upon performances spanning Aug. 22-27. See complete poll results at the bottom of this story.

Anderson, a 6-foot-2 sophomore setter and middle hitter, had a big day for Ludington at the Reed City Invitational on Saturday, Aug. 27. She finished with 15 aces, 50 assists, 25 digs, nine kills and eight blocks.

Ludington won two matches, lost two and split one at the Reed City invite. The Orioles advanced to the semifinals.

On the season, Anderson has totaled 163 assists, 58 digs, 37 kills, 37 aces and 26 blocks.

Ludington sports an overall record of 9-4-1.
