It’s a Tuesday afternoon at the CatchMark office and there’s Myles, in his usual spot — cranking out a stats post with YouTube pulled up in the corner. Today it’s NCAA College Football, yesterday it was MLB The Show. Honestly, the man probably knows more about virtual dynasties than some actual coaches. And somehow, while multitasking like that, he still gets everything done.
That’s just Myles though. Cool, unshakable, steady.
Case in point: Yesterday he just casually drops into conversation that he got hired by the BIG10’s Spartan Vision Network. Out of 25 applicants, only 10 got paid spots… and of course, he’s one of them. Didn’t make a big deal about it, just tossed it out there like it was nothing. Jonah, a coworker here at CatchMark, summed it up perfectly: “How can anyone be as cool as Myles?”. That was after he wore his entire baseball uniform to the office earlier this year.
Myles started at CSN back with Scott DeCamp, working as a SportsNut and intern. He quickly became a do-it-all guy — podcasts, articles, content — and did it all while balancing school. And he did it unpaid for a long time, just putting in the work and learning as he went.
When I joined in 2024, he kept grinding away until Christmas, when we decided it was time to make it official. January 1, he became a paid intern, bumped up his hours, and helped fuel the crazy growth we’ve had this year. From creating our stats posts to helping with many pieces of content we put out, Myles has been the glue guy — the one helping hold together and making the culture around here…just better.
He thinks he’s unbeatable at ping pong. He can talk college football with anyone, anytime. He’s got this quiet confidence that just makes you want him on your team.
For Myles — thanks for being all-in. Thanks for caring about the details. Thanks for being better at writing than me. And thanks for helping make CSN what it is today. Without you, we don’t pull off 90% of what we’ve done the past four years.
I can’t wait to see you on my TV — headset on, camera rolling — working for the Spartans. Just don’t forget about home. Go Green.
