Time for another CatchMark SportsNet West Michigan Conference Player of the Week fan poll.

Nominees have been selected and the fan poll created for Player of the Week, which is title sponsored by Complete Restoration & Cleaning Services, Inc.

We need your votes.

Six winter sports athletes from the conference who stood out in competitions Jan. 22-27, 2024, have been nominated by CatchMark SportsNet. Student-athletes who have already won Player of the Week honors this season are not eligible to be in the fan poll.

Time for you to vote, over and over. The poll can be found at the bottom of this story after brief capsules on the nominees. You may vote once per hour. The poll closes at noon Friday, Feb. 2.

Athletes are listed alphabetically:

ISAIAH ATCHISON, Montague basketball

This 6-foot-8 senior forward was in the Player of the Week fan poll last week, but he earned his way back in this week after a monster performance in Montague’s 61-54 home win over Manistee last Monday. Atchison posted an eye-popping triple-double with 14 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 blocks, plus he filled the stat sheet in other areas such as steals with six and assists with four.

MIA CLEMENCE, Fremont basketball

The Packers’ 5-9 junior guard came through in two key WMC Lakes Division wins last week. Clemence scored eight of her game-high 16 points down the stretch in helping Fremont rally for a 41-35 victory at Ludington in a WMC Lakes first-place battle last Tuesday. Two days later, she finished with 20 points and five steals as Fremont erupted for 77 points in a 30-point win at Manistee.

LAMARKIS GRAHAM, North Muskegon basketball

The 6-foot-2 senior wing posted a pair of strong stat lines last week as the Norsemen remained unbeaten on the season. In Tuesday’s 62-35 win at Wyoming Potter’s House, Graham finished with 12 points, seven rebounds, and three steals. In Thursday’s 53-39 home win over Fremont, he had 14 points, seven rebounds, and four steals in an extremely balanced Norse performance.

ALEX HICKS, Hart wrestling

The Pirates junior reached the 100-win milestone in his wrestling career on Saturday at the Shelby Super Duals, where he went 5-0 on the day. Hicks enters this week with a 33-3 record on the season, bouncing between the 175- and 190-pound weight classes. Hart finished runner-up to Cedar Springs as a team in the Shelby Super Duals.

WREN NELSON, Mason County Central basketball

The Spartans posted three convincing road victories in a busy week and Nelson played key roles in each game. The 6-foot-3 senior center posted a pair of double-doubles. In Tuesday’s 60-39 win at North Muskegon, Nelson had 11 points and 11 rebounds. In Wednesday’s 62-13 victory at Hesperia, she had eight points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks. In Thursday’s 53-30 win at Holton, Nelson went for 20 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocks.

CLARE WESTERLUND, Whitehall basketball

The 5-foot-9 freshman delivered a breakout performance in powering visiting Whitehall to a 37-35 victory over Montague on Friday. Westerlund scored a game- and career-high 16 points, plus she grabbed 11 rebounds and notched three steals and two blocks. She had a solid game in last Tuesday’s 59-52 loss to Western Michigan Christian, finishing with 11 points and four rebounds.
